C.F. Martin & Co. Recognized as Governor’s ImPAct Awards Export ImPAct Recipient

Harrisburg, PA - C.F. Martin & Co. was recognized for creating jobs that pay and their economic impact within the commonwealth as part of the third annual Governor’s ImPAct Awards, which were presented at a ceremony at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey, Pa. on May 21, 2015.

New York, NY - The Museum of the City of New York presents Folk City: New York and the Folk Music Revival, a celebration of the City's role as the center of the folk music revival from its beginnings in the 1930s and 1940s to its heyday in the 1950s and 1960s, as well as its continuing legacy. With a wide array of memorabilia, including photos, video and sound recordings, the exhibition documents the music and movement that helped transform Greenwich Village and spread as a major cultural phenomenon. Folk City opens on Wednesday, June 17, and remains on view through Sunday, November 29.

NAZARETH, PA - Leading acoustic guitar maker C.F. Martin & Co. is pleased to welcome John McElroy as the company’s new in-house general counsel. McElroy’s dual passions for law and playing guitar make him uniquely qualified to handle the various aspects of his new position at Martin Guitar. Bringing over 14 years of extensive experience in banking, commercial law, and litigation, McElroy’s primary responsibilities as general counsel will include focusing on intellectual property issues, vendor contracts, artist endorsement contracts, as well as more general corporate issues from compliance and environmental issues to human resources, to coordinating with the various outside specialty counsels.

Martin Guitar Introduces Contemporary New Models at Musikmesse 2015 in Frankfurt

Nazareth, PA (Musikmesse, Hall 3.1 Booth F81) – C. F. Martin & Co. (www.martinguitar.com) announces new X Series and Road Series models, which are set to be unveiled at Musikmesse 2015 in Frankfurt, Germany April 15-18. The contemporary X Series new models to be showcased include the 00X1AE and GPX1AE and GPCRSGT new Road Series model.

Additionally, on display will be the second Signature Artist Edition Guitar, Ed Sheeran X Signature Edition, which was designed in collaboration with multi-platinum selling artist Ed Sheeran. Sheeran is once again donating 100% of his royalties from the sales of each guitar to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (www.each.org.uk ), a UK-based charity in his hometown. The organization, whose Royal Patron is The Duchess of Cambridge, supports families and cares for young people with life-threatening conditions and provides services across several UK counties, including Suffolk, where Sheeran was raised.
