Waste and Recycling

Separate recycling receptacles are strategically placed throughout all of the Martin Guitar facilities. These receptacles are used to separate and collect office paper, newspapers, magazines, plastic and glass bottles and aluminum cans. Shredded paper is used as packing material in our Shipping Departments.

An employee wood bin for scrap wood is available for employees' personal use.

Through its manufacturing practices, Martin Guitar generates wood dust. Wood dust is compacted into briquettes which are then hauled to a cogeneration station and burned for energy.

The Martin Guitar Information Systems Department enforces environmentally safe recycling when its electronic equipment reaches the end of its useful life. End of service life computer equipment is delivered to a recycling facility whose recycling practices meet all federal, state and local requirements.
