A new way to fundraise
The Life is good Festival is a two-day celebration of music and optimism featuring three stages of well-known musical talent, hands-on games and interactive arts activities. More importantly, the Festival creates a community of fundraisers by empowering festival-goers to give back through individual fundraising initiatives.
In the spirit of spreading optimism, Life is good calls on fellow optimists to support the cause by doing something they enjoy. Whether it’s holding a backyard barbeque, biking across the state or selling lemonade, anyone can help Life is good spread optimism and help kids in need with their own grassroots efforts.
Fundraisers can also earn the title, “Very Good People” (VGP), and receive exclusive perks and concert privileges based on total funds raised. Rewards packages vary by funding level but include everything from private acoustic performances, meet and greets with Festival artists, on-stage concert viewing, and access to the VGP lounge at the Festival.
"There’s nothing better than making a difference and enjoying yourself while you do it," said Bert Jacobs, chief executive optimist for Life is good. “Everyone who attends the Festival joins in the spirit of spreading the power of optimism and raising money and awareness for The Life is good Playmakers, dedicated to helping kids overcome poverty, violence and illness.”
To date, Life is good has raised more than $8 million for kids in need, principally through the annual Life is good Festival, Life is good products and other fundraising activities. This year, Life is good seeks to raise over $1 million through Festival fundraising.

Superfly Presents was founded in New Orleans in 1996 by Kerry Black, Rick Farman, Richard Goodstone and Jonathan Mayers. Originally set up to become the leading independent local concert promoter, they created the Superfly During JazzFest series, which is now in its 14th year. In 2002, they co-founded and continue to produce the iconic Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Since its inception in 2002, Bonnaroo swiftly earned its status as the country’s premier music and arts event and Rolling Stone called the festival “one of the 50 moments to change the history of rock and roll.” In 2008, Superfly co-founded the acclaimed San Francisco-based Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival. The company has also created the Superfly Marketing Group, a boutique entertainment-marketing agency designed to complement Superfly’s diverse divisions. Superfly Marketing Group leverages the company’s experience, expertise and industry relationships to develop brand partnerships geared towards the passionate entertainment and lifestyle consumer.
