FAQs
The Martin Guitar Backstage Loyalty Program is a free rewards program for customers in the United States and District of Columbia. Members earn points for activities and qualifying purchases made on our website. Points can be redeemed toward purchases, experiences, and sweepstakes entries, subject to program terms.
Joining is free. Sign in to your existing Martin Guitar account or create a new account, and then follow the instructions to enroll in Martin Backstage and accept the applicable Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy. Enrollment is limited to one account per person. You must be a legal resident of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia and be at least 18 years old—or the age of majority in your state, if higher—to participate.
Members earn points on qualifying purchases made through MartinGuitar.com and may also have opportunities to earn bonus points through eligible activities or promotions.
Points are calculated using the net price of eligible merchandise after discounts and redeemed points have been applied. Taxes, shipping, handling, gift cards, store credit, promotional credits, service fees, donations, separately purchased protection plans, repair or modification services, bulk or reseller orders, third-party marketplace purchases, certain limited-edition or high-value instruments, and other designated products do not earn points. Employee- or dealer-discounted purchases also do not qualify.
Standard members earn 1 point per eligible dollar, Preferred members earn 1.5 points, and All Access members earn 2 points. Paid Backstage All Access members are placed in the All Access tier while their paid membership remains active.
For most qualifying purchases, points typically appear within a few days after your order ships. Guitar-purchase points will not become available until the guitar has been successfully registered and the 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee period has ended without a return. Points may be delayed, withheld, adjusted, or removed if an order is canceled, returned, charged back, or reviewed for possible fraud or abuse.
No. Points are calculated on the subtotal of your qualifying purchase after discounts and do not include any sales tax, shipping, handling, service fees or gift card purchases.
There is no overall limit on the number of points you may hold, but no more than 50,000 points may be earned from a single qualifying transaction. Individual promotions may also establish separate earning limits, which will be disclosed in the applicable promotional terms. Martin Guitar may withhold or reverse points associated with fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, reseller activity, or other violations of the Program Terms.
Spendable Points are the points available to redeem for eligible rewards or purchases. Your balance decreases when you redeem points and may also change because of returns, cancellations, expiration, or account adjustments.
Tier Points measure your progress toward Preferred or All Access status. Redeeming Spendable Points does not reduce your Tier Points. Both balances are calculated using qualifying activity during the applicable rolling 18-month period. You can view both balances in your Backstage dashboard.
Martin Guitar employees and independent dealers may participate and earn points on eligible personal purchases made through MartinGuitar.com. Purchases made using employee or dealer discount pricing do not earn points. Employees, dealers, and their immediate family members are not eligible for sweepstakes, prize giveaways, or experiential promotions offered through the Program. Other restrictions may be included in the Official Rules for a specific promotion.
After purchasing a guitar, log in to your account and complete the product registration using your instrument’s serial number. Points for instrument purchases are credited only after the instrument has been registered and the 30day Satisfaction Guarantee period has passed.
Log in to your Martin Guitar account during checkout to view and apply your available points. Points are currently redeemed at a rate of 100 points for $1 toward an eligible purchase. Points cannot be applied to taxes, shipping, gift cards, excluded products, or any portion of an order paid with another restricted payment or promotional method. Points have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or credit. Reward availability and eligible products may change.
Loyalty sweepstakes, giveaways, and experiential promotions are optional and will have separate Official Rules explaining eligibility, entry periods, prizes, and entry methods. Participants must be legal U.S. residents and at least 18 years old—or the age of majority in their state, if higher. Martin Guitar employees, independent dealers, and their immediate family members are not eligible. Review the Official Rules before entering because additional restrictions may apply.
Yes. Each group of points expires 18 months after the date it was earned. Expired points are forfeited and will not be reinstated. Martin Guitar will make reasonable efforts to email you before points expire, but points will still expire if an expiration notice is not received.
Separately, Martin Guitar may close an account that has no qualifying earning or redemption activity for 24 consecutive months. Closing or canceling your membership results in the forfeiture of unused points and benefits.
Points earned from a returned, canceled, or charged-back purchase will be removed from your account. Points redeemed toward an eligible returned or canceled order will be restored after the return or cancellation is processed, subject to the Program Terms and the status of your account. Guitar-purchase points do not become available until the registration and 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee requirements have been completed.
Your tier is based on the number of qualifying Tier Points you earn during the applicable rolling 18-month period and any other eligibility criteria established by Martin Guitar. When you meet the requirements for a higher tier, your status will be upgraded. Redeeming Spendable Points does not reduce the Tier Points used to determine your status. Paid Backstage All Access members receive All Access tier status while their paid membership remains active. Visit your Backstage dashboard for your current tier, progress, and applicable thresholds.
Paid Backstage all Access members receive All Access tier status while their paid membership is active. If the paid membership ends, tier status will be recalculated based on the member’s qualifying Program activity and the applicable tier requirements.
Log in to your Martin Guitar account and visit your Backstage dashboard to see your available points, Tier Points, transaction history, expiration information, and tier status. Some qualifying activity may take several days to appear. If you believe points are missing or incorrect, contact Customer Service and provide your order number, purchase date, and any other requested documentation. Receipt-related discrepancies must be reported within 30 days, when receipt scanning is available.
No. Points and rewards have no cash value, are not property and may not be sold, transferred, assigned or combined with another member’s account.
No. Points are not awarded retroactively for purchased made before you enrolled or for purchases that were not connected to your Program account at the time of purchase.
You may unenroll from the Martin Backstage Loyalty Program at any time by clicking the link below. Once you submit your request, you will no longer earn or redeem points, and any unused points, rewards, tier status, and Program benefits will be forfeited. Please allow up to five business days for your unenrollment request to be fully processed.
Unenrolling from Martin Backstage does not automatically delete your Martin Guitar customer account or all personal information associated with it. To submit a privacy-related request, please follow the instructions in the Martin Guitar Privacy Policy.
Yes. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership if you violate the Loyalty Program Terms and Conditions—such as by engaging in fraudulent activity, reselling products, exploiting promotions, or abusing program benefits. If your account is terminated, your points and rewards will be forfeited, and you may be banned from rejoining the program.
You may request to enroll again after canceling your membership, subject to the eligibility requirements and Martin Guitar’s right to accept or reject enrollment. Previously forfeited points, rewards, transaction history, and tier status will not be restored. Members whose accounts were terminated for fraud, abuse, or another Terms violation may be prohibited from rejoining.
