All-New Modern Deluxe Models for 2022

We are proud to introduce seven new models to our popular Modern Deluxe Series. But before we show you these great new guitars, let's look at what makes the Modern Deluxe Series stand apart from the rest of the Martin product line. Launched in 2019, the Modern Deluxe Series pairs some of Martin’s most popular vintage appointments with state-of-the-art technology. The results are stunning, and the series is perfect for discerning players who appreciate the look, tone, and construction of vintage Martin guitars and want modern features for easy playability.

But don’t take our word for it. Check out this feedback from a few industry experts.

“This is shockingly light … and light acoustic guitars are more resonant … I love that you’ve got the classic ingredients, but you’ve also got some modern jazz in there that makes it … like an old friend, right out of the gate … really comfortable all the way up the neck … intonation seems dead on. So, good on ya, Martin, for taking a classic design and putting some modern touches on it and not losing the vibe of what you had. Because sometimes you get sort of a subtraction by addition, but I don’t think that’s the case here. I think they actually kinda nailed it.” – Premier Guitar Magazine

“Martin’s mission to evolve its heritage by enhancing the range in the way we’ve seen here is to be applauded. We can imagine that all the newfangled ideas that are going on with the Modern Deluxes–both seen and unseen–may be in conflict with comfort-zone sensibilities of the traditionalists, but to those fine gentlefolk, we would wholeheartedly recommend auditioning one. The difference you find here is real, with additional volume, enhanced projection, greater sustain–and that’s on top of the renowned Martin tone. You really can’t go wrong.” - Guitarist Magazine

“The sound is incredibly crisp and warm. Part of what contributes to the guitar’s natural volume is a rich midrange to low end, especially noticeable when I play open chords—it’s a steamroller! Despite its classy trim appearance, the guitar feels like a wild animal with unbridled energy when you’re playing it. Strike the sixth string—especially in dropped-D tuning—and it carries so impressively, even as you continue to pick the other strings. You almost have to mute it manually to get it quiet.” - Acoustic Guitar Magazine
