Sleeping At Last

Ryan O’Neal - through the moniker Sleeping At Last - has spent more than two decades crafting songs that explore the vulnerability, breadth and complexity of the human experience. From the heart break of individual loss to the wonders of the cosmos, his music is an invitation into authenticity and connection through atmospheric textures and melodic vocals.

With more than 5 billion streams, his compositions are hallmarked by an emotive, cinematic sound that has been featured in more than 100 films, shows and commercials - from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and Grey’s Anatomy to the Super Bowl and Mercedes.

Initially an indie rock band, Sleeping At Last was discovered by Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins in 1999 and signed by Interscope Records for their debut album and national tour. When members of the group pursed other interests, Ryan continued writing and recording, gradually shaping his introspective music into what has come to define his solo work.

Over the past decade, Ryan has created several longform concept albums. Atlas is his series of music exploring three themes: the origins of the universe (Atlas I), involuntary human development (Atlas II), and voluntary human development (Atlas III).

Other current projects include: Astronomy, inspired by celestial events and discoveries; and Atoms, short pieces celebrating moments of wonder around us.

Today, Ryan is a sought after composer and performer with commissions and collaborations ranging from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Ryan Reynolds. Through Sleeping At Last he has released more than 20 albums and EPs, garnering one platinum and three gold RIAA certified singles.
