Martin is once again unlocking the sonic beauty of sustainable tonewoods with the GPE Inception™ Maple, introducing a non-cutaway Grand Performance shape to the series. This acoustic-electric blends cutting-edge innovation with domestic and certified materials, delivering a tone as dynamic as its bold new look. The FSC®-certified European spruce top, gleaming in a gloss amber fade sunburst, provides quick response and powerful projection, while the flamed maple back and sides, accented by a black walnut wedge, add striking visual depth and a bright, articulate sound with just the right touch of warmth. Martin’s skeletonized bracing and sonic channeling technology, purpose-built for these specific tonewoods, optimize response and reduce mass, increasing both sustain and amplitude—a rare feat in acoustic guitar design. The sleek black walnut neck, finished in a satin amber fade sunburst, pairs with an FSC-certified ebony fingerboard and bridge, a new addition that enhances both playability and tonal depth.
