Description

The Martin O’ahu® HG-28K2 brings an all-koa voice to the Martin O’ahu family, expanding on the HG-28’s unique sloped-shoulder body with a look and sound rooted in Hawaiian music history. Inspired by the Hawaiian music craze of the 1920s and early ’30s—a pivotal era that helped shape the modern steel-string acoustic guitar—this gloss-finished model delivers warm, expressive tone in a comfortable, approachable size. Its HG body is best described as a smaller sloped-shoulder Dreadnought with the depth of a 000, offering bold, balanced sound without the full-size feel. With koa as the top wood, it adds strong midrange projection, natural compression, and rich overtones that match its striking look—honoring the past while inviting a new generation to make history of their own.
