NAZARETH, PA – November 19, 2014 – C.F. Martin & Co. is pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Thomas to Director of Artist Relations, assuming responsibility for all artist-related matters including the highly esteemed Martin Ambassador Program, conception and development of Custom Artist Signature models, and general Artist Relations matters. Thomas will also continue to oversee Festivals and Trade Shows for the 181 year old family-owned firm.
“I have always been a huge fan of Martin Guitar and the artists who play them.” said Thomas. “The Ambassador Program, developed in 2011, has opened the door for brilliant partnerships with artists, surfers, snow boarders, Broadway actors, TV stars, and other high profile players who all share the common love of music and Martin guitars.”
During his 18 year career at Martin, Thomas has had the privilege to learn much about the craft of fine acoustic instruments, including the process of winding Martin Strings, while making his rounds in production as a builder, Quality Assurance technician, department supervisor, and eventually landing in Marketing.
"Over the past 18 years Chris has continuously shown his dedication, passion and understanding of the Martin Guitar brand,” said Chairman and CEO Chris Martin IV. “His knowledge and enthusiasm for connecting the brand with the right partnerships is one of many reasons Chris' promotion to Director of Artist Relations is well deserved."
